PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

Receiving & Incoming Material Control
  • Unload, receive, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders, packing slips, and ERP system data
  • Inspect shipments for damage, shortages, or nonconforming materials
  • Accurately process receipts in ERP/SAP system
  • Segregate, label, and report nonconforming materials in accordance with company procedures

Inventory & Material Control
  • Perform cycle counts and physical inventory audits to maintain inventory accuracy
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and support root cause analysis
  • Maintain proper material identification, labeling, and FIFO compliance
  • Store materials in designated warehouse or production locations to support efficient flow

MRO, Tooling & Spare Parts Management
  • Maintain MRO (maintenance, repair, and operations) inventory and spare parts
  • Monitor min/max levels and communicate replenishment needs
  • Track fixtures and tooling inventory, ensuring availability and proper condition
  • Report missing, damaged, or worn tooling and coordinate replacement or repair

Production Support / Material Flow
  • Stage and delivering materials to production areas based on schedule and priority
  • Support line-side replenishment and internal material movement
  • Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Purchasing teams to resolve material-related issues
  • Support production environments with time-sensitive material delivery requirements

Shipping & Logistics Support
  • Pick, pack, label, and stage finished goods for shipment
  • Verify accuracy of outbound orders and documentation
  • Support on-time delivery (OTD) requirements

Material Disposition & Problem Resolution
  • Support disposition of nonconforming materials (scrap, rework, return-to-vendor)
  • Identify and communicate material shortages or risks that could impact production or shipment
  • Assist in root cause analysis for recurring material or inventory issues

General Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment (5S standards)
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and on time
  • Communicate effectively across departments
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support plant operations

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required in materials, receiving, warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment
  • High School Diploma or GED required

PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred
  • Experience with inventory accuracy, cycle counting, and ERP systems (SAP preferred) strongly preferred

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Experience in materials, warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing operations
  • Knowledge of inventory control, cycle counting, and material handling processes
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar preferred)
  • Ability to operate forklifts or powered industrial trucks (certification preferred or obtainable)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing production schedules
  • Basic problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to stand for up to 10 hours a day.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and lifting
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
  • Exposure to manufacturing environment conditions including noise, dust, and temperature variation
  • Occasional outdoor exposure (heat, cold, rain, etc.)
  • Required use of PPE: safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and hearing protection as needed
  • Overtime may be required to meet production and shipping demands

  • Receiving Accuracy (quantity, damage, documentation)
  • Picking Accuracy (shipping)
