Receiving Supervisor

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES• Coordinates and supervises the activities of all warehouse and receiving team members on property.• Maintains a thorough, working knowledge of dry goods, paper products, chemical supplies, and food and beverage specifications.• Ensures the integrity of all supplies delivered to the receiving dock.• Assists the Receiving and Warehouse Manager with the creation and implementation of a computerized itemization of all goods and supplies received and stored on property.• Cooperates with accounts payable team members in the verification of orders received.• Compiles statistical data for reporting purposes.• Maintains all files in the Receiving Division of the Finance Department.• Directs Receiving Clerks to prepare boxes for shipment, and maintains records of all shipments sent out, prepares shipments as needed.• Conducts the necessary research to effectively resolve warehouse and receiving disputes.• Attaches the invoice to purchase order and indicates the quantity received, number of boxes, date received, invoice number, and any other pertinent information.• Facilitates the flow of information throughout the property, by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.• Held accountable, to a high degree, for the accuracy, confidentiality, and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.• Create and utilize a comprehensive and sustainable employee engagement strategy through both formal and informal feedback as well as constant communication• Directly supervises the activities of the Warehouse Person and Receiving Clerks.QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS• High school diploma or GED required.• At least one year of supervisory experience in Warehouse and Receiving preferred.• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds or more.
