Position Overview:

The Receiving Supervisor oversees all backroom and receiving operations to ensure merchandise is processed efficiently and accurately for the sales floor. This role supports store operations by coordinating shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring compliance with safety and company standards. The supervisor leads and trains receiving associates while managing workflow and resolving discrepancies. This position plays an important role in keeping operations organized, efficient, and aligned with store goals.

 

This position is located in Staten Island, NY.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the receiving process for incoming merchandise
  • Ensure shipments are unloaded, processed, and moved efficiently to the sales floor
  • Monitor inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain an organized and safe stockroom and receiving area
  • Supervise, train, and provide direction to receiving associates
  • Delegate tasks and help set daily priorities
  • Enforce safety policies and ensure proper handling of merchandise
  • Collaborate with store management and communicate operational updates
Requirements:
  • Previous retail, warehouse, receiving, or inventory management experience
  • Prior supervisory or team leadership experience (preferred)
  • Experience unloading trucks, processing freight, and managing stockrooms (preferred)
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to lead, train, and motivate a team
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Basic computer skills for inventory and store systems
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, and handle merchandise in a fast-paced environment
Pay Range: USD $18.00 - USD $20.00 /Hr.
