Overview:

Responsible for receiving of all medical supplies for hospital.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Receiveandunpack materials and supplies against purchase orders (PO’s) for delivery
  • Prepareordersfor return-to-vendor shipment
  • Recordshipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability
  • Reportdamagesanddiscrepanciestorequest reimbursement or re-shipment
  • Maintainlogsofallshipments outgoing and incoming
  • Preparedaily production and volume reports in order to measure productivity and prepare billing charges

 

Qualifications:
  • HighschoolDiploma or equivalent
  • 0-1yearexperience working in a shipping/receiving or professional office environment
  • Some knowledge of the job
  • Moderateunderstandingofgeneraljob aspects and some understanding of the detailed aspects of the job
  • Knowledge& application of domestic and international shipping carriers, customs, duties and shipping regulations as well as internal tools used (e.g., scanning equipment, hot- synching of scanners, internal database tracking system, dollies and carts)
  • Excellentcustomer service, professional attitude and appearance are a must
  • Ability to work overtime & meet deadlines

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to lift 40 lbs
  • Repetitive motion
  • Reaching,pushing, pulling carts weighing up to 250lbs
  • Walking, standing for extended periods of time
