Receiving/Warehouse Supervisor
GENERAL SUMMARY
The Receiving/Warehouse Supervisor oversees the daily operation of the warehouse, including building F, and receiving dock. This includes the receipt of all goods and delivery of all products throughout the property, as well as the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
FOUR DIAMOND SERVICE AGREEMENT
All Team Members will display a Four Diamond commitment to Guest Service through the delivery and maintenance of the Quality Standards established by Pechanga Resort Casino (PRC).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintain a positive work environment for the Team Members to include fair and consistent work standards, disciplinary action, high morale and setting an example of professional and efficient performance.
• Responsible to ensure proper safety conditions are maintained in the warehouse and loading dock areas.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization and maintenance of warehouse, equipment and loading dock areas, inclusive of a deep cleaning schedule.
• Verify all vendor deliveries against vendor’s invoices or packing lists.
• Ensure proper dating of product upon receipt, product rotation, and spoilage issues and documentation as it occurs.
• Ensure orders are filled by the staff efficiently, by pulling requested products and delivering them to requesting department. This includes proper document training and accuracy.
• Work closely with inventory control to ensure accuracy of documents and products for orders delivered.
• Ensure proper accountability of goods upon delivery by staff, by obtaining all necessary information on requisition form.
• Work closely with the Chefs, inventory control and the buyers on slow moving or volatile items in the warehouse inventory.
• Train, coach and develop new Team Members in accordance with PRC SOP’s.
• Assist with the movement of materials and equipment, as requested and scheduled by the warehouse manager.
• Oversee proper document retention, organization and cleanliness of building F, including the movement of accounting totes and equipment to and from the building, as well as periodic destruction of documents or liquidation of equipment.
• Maintain good communication with inventory control, vendors, delivery personnel, staff and purchasing.
• Maintain proper communication with DPS on all access to building F by unauthorized personnel.
• Maintain clean supply of empty totes for the accounting department, and arrange delivery upon request.
• Receive all goods and services delivered to Pechanga Resort Casino, including physical receipts,
logging deliveries, and entering data into the Stratton Warren purchasing system.
• Verify all quantity and quality specifications, including catch weights, vendor item numbers, and item descriptions, as established on Pechanga’s purchase orders.
• Refuse, document and communicate all products that do not meet our established purchase specifications.
• Supervise daily schedule of receiving personnel to ensure proper receiving coverage.
• Research and correct all receiving discrepancies noted by other departments.
• Maintain receiving files to ensure all documents are current.
• Control flow of deliveries and trucks at the receiving dock.
• Maintain signature files of all departmental deliveries.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of vendor pricing and bids at all times.
• Work with Accounts Payable to ensure timely flow of invoices and packing slips.
• Other duties as designated by the Director of Purchasing or Warehouse Manager.
ACCOUNTABILITY: This position has supervisory responsibilities that include hiring/selection, corrective actions and performance reviews. The Team Member is responsible for protecting the assets of PRC.

QUALIFICATIONS AND GUIDELINES

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: At least 2 years’ supervisory experience is required preferred to successfully perform this job. A high school education or general education degree (GED) is required.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS: This position requires the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. This position also requires the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. The ability to speak effectively before groups of guests or Team Members of the organization is required as well.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: This position requires the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. This position also requires the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY: This position requires the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. This position also requires the ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
• Must qualify to obtain and maintain a class “A” gaming license.
• Forklift Certification.
• Pallet Jack Certification.
• Propane Certification.
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
• Basic Computer Skills, Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• AS 400 – Stratton-Warren.
• Familiar with Worldship UPS, FedEx Shipping and Ground Freight Shipping.
• Forklift Operation.
• Pallet Jack Operation.
• Knowledge of Retail Goods and Golf Products.
• Knowledge of Food Products and All Beverage Products.
• Self-starter who is highly motivated and resourceful.
• Ability to work with a positive attitude in a fast paced and culturally diverse casino environment.
• Must be able to take direction and follow through with assigned tasks.
• Flexible and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to handle all special projects outside of the normal scope of the Receiving Department as directed by Management.
