LSF is seeking a talented Receptionist who wants to make an impact in the lives of others.

The schedule for this role is Monday- Friday 8am to 5pm!

Purpose and Impact:
The Receptionist answers busy phone system, directs calls, takes messages, and greets clients and visitors. Performs office functions as requested. This is a non-direct care position.
 

Essential Functions:

  • Screens incoming calls, takes messages as appropriate, directs caller to correct individuals.
  • Greets visitors and clients, determines their needs and notifies the proper person and/or directs them to the proper office.
  • Maintains an organized visitor/reception area.
  • Sets up appointments for clients.
  • Responds to client records requests.
  • Sorts and distributes incoming mail/shipments and takes outgoing mail and or shipments for delivery.
  • Notifies technicians if telephone system, copier, printer or other equipment is in need of repair or maintenance.
  • Collects and places office supply orders and verifies order for accuracy upon receipt.
  • Performs a variety of administrative tasks such as creating cards, room scheduling and directory maintenance.
  • Assists program staff to include all necessary forms when preparing files for anticipated clients.
  • Maintains a list of clients seeking assistance.
  • Responsible for keeping and distributing petty cash
  • Reconciles petty cash as a monthly basis
  • Collects client funds, prepares the bank deposit and keeps daily records.

Other Functions:

  • Attend staff meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to sit for long periods of time and be able to communicate on the telephone. Must be able to operate a computer.

Education:

Associates Degree or equivalent. Could be substituted with at least 2 years’ experience.

Experience:

A minimum of 1+ years’ experience as receptionist in an office setting. Must have basic knowledge of general office procedures.

Skills:

Must have strong interpersonal skills. Must possess strong telephone etiquette and communications skills. Ability to work effectively in a culturally diverse environment. Ability to demonstrate consistent, daily work attendance. Bilingual English /Spanish preferred.

Other:

Must demonstrate sensitivity to our service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and needs.
