Receptionist / Front Office Administrative Assistant

Location: Plano, TX
Employment Type: Temporary Contract | 2 Weeks
Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $18.00–$25.00 per hour
Start Date: Must be available to begin the week of July 27 for training

Position Overview

Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a professional and highly organized Receptionist / Front Office Administrative Assistant for a two-week temporary assignment in Plano, TX. This fully onsite position will serve as the first point of contact for the main office lobby and play an important role in creating a welcoming, professional environment for guests, new hires, board members, vendors, and employees.

The ideal candidate has previous receptionist or administrative support experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage front desk responsibilities while supporting day-to-day office operations. This role requires a professional demeanor, attention to detail, and the ability to provide a positive experience for everyone entering the office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact at the main lobby front desk.

  • Greet and assist visitors, clients, vendors, board members, and employees in a professional and welcoming manner.

  • Welcome new hires and assist with onboarding logistics, including badges and equipment setup.

  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls with professionalism and courtesy.

  • Maintain visitor logs and follow office access and security protocols.

  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail and packages.

  • Maintain the appearance and organization of the front office, conference rooms, and common areas.

  • Monitor and restock supplies in conference rooms, break rooms, and other shared spaces.

  • Coordinate logistics for onsite meetings, including room setup, refreshments, and meeting materials.

  • Support Board of Directors meetings by preparing meeting spaces and managing guest arrivals.

  • Order and maintain general office supplies as needed.

  • Provide general administrative support to leadership and other departments.

  • Perform additional administrative and front office duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • 2+ years of experience in a receptionist, front office, or administrative support role.

  • Strong administrative and organizational skills.

  • Professional demeanor with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Ability to maintain a calm, friendly, and welcoming presence in a professional office environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.

  • Must be available to work 100% onsite in Plano, TX.

  • Must be available to begin training the week of July 27.
