Position Summary The Elementary School Campus Office plays a vital role in supporting daily campus operations by serving as the welcoming first point of contact for students, staff, families, and visitors. Associate's degree or college coursework preferred Experience Minimum of 2 years of experience in an office, clerical, or administrative support role preferred Experience in a school or educational setting strongly preferred Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Experience working with students, parents, staff, and administrators Proficiency in office procedures including filing systems, record keeping, scheduling, and data entry Experience using student information systems, attendance software, and standard office technology (copiers, multi-line phones, email systems) Special KnowledgeSkills Secretarial or administrative certification preferred (not required). Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace. Knowledge of school policies, attendance procedures, and confidentiality requirements (FERPA) preferred. Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professionalism at all times. First Aid/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain Physical Demands Ability to remain seated or standing for extended periods of time while performing office and front-desk duties Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate computers, phones, copiers, and other standard office equipment Ability to communicate effectively in person and over the telephone Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and twisting as required for filing, retrieving records, or assisting students and staff Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials and supplies weighing up to 20-30 pounds Visual acuity required for reading documents, computer screens, and written communications Ability to move throughout the campus to deliver documents or assist with campus operations as needed Ability to maintain stamina and focus in a fast-paced, high-traffic office environment Ability to respond appropriately to emergency situations, including drills or campus incidents Duties/Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for students, parents, staff, and visitors, providing courteous and professional assistance Manage the front office operations, including answering multi-line phones, greeting visitors, and directing inquiries appropriately Maintain accurate student attendance records, process absences and tardies, and communicate attendance information to staff and administration Assist campus administrators with clerical and administrative support, including scheduling, correspondence, data entry, and report preparation Maintain student records and files in compliance with district policies and confidentiality requirements (FERPA) Coordinate student check-in/check-out procedures and verify proper documentation Process and distribute campus communications, including announcements, emails, and parent notifications Support campus operations by managing supply inventories, submitting purchase requests, and maintaining office equipment Assist with campus testing logistics, including documentation, rosters, and secure handling of materials, as assigned Collaborate with nurses, counselors, and administrators to support student needs Monitor campus traffic and follow safety and security procedures, including visitor sign-in and badge protocols Provide support during campus events, emergencies, and drills as needed Perform other duties as assigned by campus administration to support the effective operation of the school
