Title: Part-Time Receptionist Note: This is a 2 day per week, shared position

The Role. The Receptionist attends to visitors and deals with inquiries on the phone and face to face. Supply information regarding the school to the general public, parents and students. This position is responsible for providing secretarial, clerical and administrative support to the Business Office.

As the Receptionist, you will have an impact on the greater MVS community, in many cases by being the first impression of MVS.
Primary Responsibilities: Operates multi-line telephone system answering incoming telephone calls, determining purpose of calls, and forwarding calls to appropriate community members or departments Retrieves messages from voice mail and forwards to appropriate community members or departments Takes and delivers messages or transfers calls to voicemail when appropriate personnel are unavailable Answers questions about the school and provides callers with other information Welcomes on-site visitors, determines the nature of business, and announces visitors to appropriate personnel Processes on-site visitors and vendors through the visitor management system for security purposes and issues visitor passes to all visitors and vendors Receives queries from caregivers and the public Receives, sorts, and routes mail to each department or division Processes credit cards for payment of products or tuition/incidentals Deposits all checks electronically utilizing a bank-provided remote deposit terminal and updates daily log of all payments received via mail Provides general administrative and clerical support to all departments Monitors and maintains office supplies for the front desk Maintain postage machine and order postage and supplies Other duties as assigned
Qualifications: 3 years' related experience, 2 or 4-year degree preferred, but not required Strong customer service skills Ability to learn and enthusiasm for constant improvement Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask Proficient in Google suite of products (Google sheets, docs, drive, calendar) or other similar software
