    Position Summary:

    The Receptionist performs a variety of administrative and clerical duties to support daily operations. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and staff, providing professional customer service, answering phones, greeting guests, scheduling, maintaining records, and assisting with office workflow as needed.

    Required Skills:

    • Excellent customer service and communication skills

    • Ability to answer and route calls professionally

    • Strong organizational and multitasking skills

    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

    • Basic computer skills and ability to use office equipment

    • Ability to work effectively with patients, visitors, providers, and internal teams

    Essential Functions:

    • Greets patients, visitors, staff, and vendors in a professional and courteous manner

    • Answers, screens, and directs phone calls appropriately

    • Schedules appointments and assists with patient registration or check-in processes as applicable

    • Maintains accurate records, files, and documentation

    • Provides clerical and administrative support to department leadership and staff

    • Communicates effectively with internal departments and external customers

    • Maintains a clean, organized, and professional front office or reception area

    • Protects patient privacy and maintains confidentiality in accordance with applicable policies

    Non-Essential Functions:

    • Position serves both internal co-workers and external customers, clients, and contractors.

    • Access to and/or works with sensitive and/or confidential information.

    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Physical and Mental Demands:

    Requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, computer use, and telephone communication. Must be able to manage multiple priorities, interact professionally with diverse individuals, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

    Education:

    High school diploma or equivalent required.
