The Emergency Department at Wellstar Cobb Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Receptionist.
This position is Full-Time/Day shift (7 am - 7 pm) and must be able to work alternating weekends.
We are looking for a personable, jack of all trades!
Job Summary:
As the first face and voice that team members and visitors encounter, the receptionist position is an integral part of The WellStar team. The receptionist is primarily responsible for the personal interaction with visitors. This role is also responsible for performing a wide variety of administrative functions that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative in the utilization of computers and other equipment.
Receptionist Duties include but not limited to:
Answer all incoming calls and handle caller's inquiries whenever possible, directing customers to the correct department/individual, as needed
Greet, assist and/or direct team members, visitors, and vendors
Receive, direct and relay telephone messages
Direct all visitors to the appropriate staff member
Maintain tracking of classroom information and assist with inquiries regarding rooms and equipment.
Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Maintains department waiting area
Performs other duties as assigned
Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.
Required Minimum Education:
Required Minimum Experience:
Minimum 1 year customer service experience - preferably in front desk/receptionist role
Experience working in a healthcare environment is preferred.
Required Minimum Skills:
The individual must be able to communicate and understand verbal and written English language.
Must have excellent communication and customer service skills.
Experience working Must be organized and attentive to detail.
Ability to function under stressful conditions.
Ability to observe listen attentively and use problem-solving skills.
Ability to use desktop or laptop computer, multiple software programs, proficient use of internet and computer applications with working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
