We are seeking to hiring a part time (24 hours per week) Receptionist to join our incredible team at our Family Resource Center.(FRC).
The Receptionist is responsible for greeting clients in person and by telephone, completing referrals for individuals seeking services, and ensuring timely communication with program staff regarding appointments, arrivals, and messages. As Receptionist at the FRC you will serve as the first point of contact for individuals and families accessing services, providing a welcoming, professional, and trauma-informed environment.
The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday from 9 - 3 or 10 - 4. The starting pay rate is $19.00 per hour.
The responsibilities for this position include the following:
- Respect the confidentiality nature of all program services and communications therewith.
- Receive and communicate with clients and others who call or come to the Agency.
- Will contact, either personally or by written communication, all staff personnel regarding messages they have received.
- Type letters, messages, memos, client records, or other communication assigned.
- Complete referrals for individuals seeking services
- File electronically and manually, client records and other Agency materials properly in accordance with policy.
- Keep monthly statistical records or analysis as they are requested.
- Maintain reception area resource displays by organizing, replenishing, and removing outdated or obsolete brochures and informational materials
- Assist the Program Manager with planning and completing event checklist activities, including preparing materials, coordinating logistics, setting up and breaking down event spaces, tracking assigned tasks, and ensuring all event preparations are completed in a timely manner.
- Keep records, forms, and other data of direct service, fiscal operations, and administrative services where such responsibilities are assigned.
Education and Experience requirements:- High School diploma required as well as computer experience and/or training.
- One year of relevant experience working with youth and families
- Must have skills necessary to engage and work with others from diverse backgrounds & maintain a nonjudgmental attitude towards families.
- Experience working with children and families preferred. Must be willing to work with SED population.
*Must be able to successfully complete a MA State CORI check, CPS check.**
