Position Summary:

The receptionist serves visitors by greeting, answering questions, and directing them to the appropriate departments. They will handle incoming phone calls and emails. The receptionist encompasses exceptional customer service to visitors, staff, students, and families.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Basic computer, phone skills, and filing.
  • Greet visitors with a positive, helpful attitude
  • Assist guests with directions to departments and areas of the school
  • Perform a variety of administrative tasks
  • Answer phones in a professional, polite manner
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Broad base of general clerical & office management skills, strong communication and people skills.
  • Able to multi-task and able to work within a distracting environment maintaining a pleasant demeanor.
  • Flexible personality
  • Good basic administrative & organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with Outlook, Excel, Word, InDesign, Canva, Photoshop, and other graphic design programs.
Essential Qualifications:

In addition to the following, applicants must agree with CDA's mission, vision, core values, and goals.

EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
EXPERIENCE
  • First-hand knowledge of Christian, classical, and collaborative educational model preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Basic computer skills needed (Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • General office duties that include phone, scanner, and computer
  • Demonstrate patience and humility in stressful situations
  • Exhibit good listening skills
  • Demonstrate an understanding of child development with a focus on the age being taught
  • Written and verbal communication skills
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
  • Occasionally lift up to 30 lbs
  • Work in a traditional climate-controlled environment
