Client Overview: Our client, a financial firm, is looking to add a
Receptionist to their team. This role will also provide administrative support to executive staff as needed.
Salary/Hourly Rate: $50k - $55k
Position Overview: The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for visitors and clients and is responsible for creating a positive and professional experience. Previous experience with general office duties, including word processing, spreadsheets, filing, and scheduling, is highly valued. The ideal candidate will be able to interact effectively with internal and external clients while maintaining an upbeat attitude. This role will also evolve to assist junior executives with clerical support, including calendar and expense management.
Responsibilities of the Receptionist:- Manage a high-volume switchboard and direct calls to appropriate employees and departments.
- Meet and greet visitors, seat them in reception, and notify appropriate personnel of visitor arrivals.
- Greet everyone who enters or passes through the reception area.
- Provide answers and guidance to guests and employees as needed.
- Open and close the office on a daily basis, including lights, security, and doors.
- Receive deliveries and packages as needed when mail services are not available.
- Provide backup support to boardroom meetings as needed.
- Maintain the visitor log for the office and validate parking vouchers as needed.
- Receive facility requests via email and report them to the appropriate person or department for resolution.
- Assist with special projects and tasks as assigned.
Required Experience/Skills for the Receptionist:- 2 years of receptionist or related experience in a corporate environment.
- Must be organized and detail-oriented.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Receptionist:- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Education Requirements:- Bachelor's degree preferred.
