Receptionist | Professional Law Firm Environment - New York, NY

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a polished, professional Receptionist on behalf of a prestigious client located in Manhattan. This opportunity is ideal for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service.

This role serves as the face of the office and first point of contact for clients, guests, attorneys, and business professionals. The ideal candidate will come from a law firm, professional services, corporate office, hospitality, financial services, or other high-volume customer-facing environment where professionalism, attention to detail, and discretion are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet clients, visitors, and business guests in a warm, professional manner

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming calls and front desk inquiries

  • Coordinate visitor arrivals, conference room logistics, and meeting support

  • Notify internal stakeholders of guest arrivals and assist with client hospitality needs

  • Manage conference room scheduling and reservations

  • Assist with administrative projects, correspondence, event preparation, and office support tasks

  • Handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional service standards

  • Troubleshoot day-to-day office and visitor issues with professionalism and resourcefulness

  • Partner with Facilities, Conference Services, and Office Administration teams to ensure a seamless client experience

  • Maintain a polished reception area and professional office atmosphere

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a legal, professional services, corporate, hospitality, or other high-volume client-facing environment

  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities

  • Excellent spelling, grammar, and attention to detail

  • Professional demeanor and polished presentation

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to remain composed and professional under pressure

  • Typing speed of 45 WPM or greater preferred

Additional Information

  • Professional business attire is required daily

  • Candidates should be comfortable with schedule flexibility during onboarding and training

  • Overtime may be required based on business needs

  • Training schedules may vary and can include shifts between:

  • 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

  • 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM

  • 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Location: Manhattan, NY

Schedule: Monday-Friday, Onsite

Employment Type: Contract, open ended

Pay: Competitive, based on experience
