FLSA Status: Part-Time, Non-exempt
Hours: Monday through Friday, 12:30pm - 4:30pm
Salary Range: $18.00/Hour USD
SUMMARY:
The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for City Hall and provides professional, courteous, and responsive customer service to residents, visitors, elected officials, community partners, and City employees. This position provides day-to-day clerical, administrative, and office support to ensure municipal services are delivered effectively and efficiently.
Under general supervision, the Receptionist greets and directs visitors, answers and routes incoming calls, provides general City information, assists with public inquiries, supports daily office operations, performs routine administrative tasks, and completes related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent to draw and interpret various graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
This position is classified as part-time. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 12:30 pm - 4:30 pm. Evening, weekend, and work hour adjustments may be required as job duties demand.
