Receptionist Needed For New Convenient Care at Turning Stone Office

Rome Health is seeking two organized and customer-focused Receptionists to join our healthcare team at our beautiful new Convenient Care at Turning Stone office in Oneida, New York. This position plays an essential role in supporting physicians, advanced practice providers, staff, and patients by ensuring smooth front desk and administrative operations in a fast-paced medical environment.

Position Summary

The Receptionist provides administrative and front office support to physicians and physician extenders while delivering exceptional customer service to patients and families. The ideal candidate is highly organized, able to multitask efficiently, and demonstrates professionalism and teamwork in all interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure reception area and front desk operations are fully functional and organized
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments, follow-ups, and physician referrals
  • Prepare charts and documentation for upcoming appointments
  • Register patients according to Rome Health policies and procedures
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy standards
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and staff
  • Manage multiple responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
  • 2–3 years of receptionist experience preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Email
  • Strong communication and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
  • Basic knowledge of insurance authorization requirements preferred

Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of patient privacy and confidentiality practices
  • Strong attention to detail and professionalism
  • Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team
