RECEPTIONIST SECRETARY

Nature of Work Provides comprehensive administrative support to ensure the smooth and professional operation of the district office. Responsibilities include managing front office operations, maintaining a secure and welcoming environment, coordinating office supplies and equipment, processing work orders, purchase requisitions, and supporting district-wide events and professional development. Requires frequent communication with staff, families, and visitors, handling confidential data with discretion, and performing general clerical tasks. Duties and Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for student, parents, staff, and visitors. Greet and direct individuals in a professional and courteous manner. Manage front office workflow, ensuring an organized, efficient, and welcoming environment. Answer and direct incoming phone calls, providing accurate information and assistance. Provide general assistance to students, staff, and parents, addressing daily needs and inquiries. Perform office routines and procedures, including records management and data entry. Prepare, compile, reproduce, and distribute documents, correspondence, and reports as requested. Manage incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, and school mailbox distribution. Maintain office supplies in compliance with procurement policies and procedures. Supervise and assist in training student office assistants or volunteers. Contribute to harmonious working relationships with other employees and the public while projecting a position image of the district. Work well under pressure of deadlines at all times maintaining composure and professionalism by communicating with a variety of people, demonstrating excellent telephone and communication skills. Complete mandatory annual Vector Training. Exhibit professionalism by maintaining good attendance and adhering to established work schedule. Comply with the Code of Ethics, administrative directives, board policy, state and federal statutes and rules and regulations.
Communicate and display courteous and professional behavior toward students, the public, the Immediate Supervisor, School and District Administrators, staff and peers. Safeguard the confidentiality of information pursuant to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and other applicable state and federal statutes. Perform such other tasks as may be assigned. Minimum Qualifications
Environmental and Physical Factors: Work is performed in a standard office environment with light physical demands. Frequent use of computers, telephones, and standard office equipment is required.
