Job Description:

Summary:

The RecFit Ambassador serves as a key representative of the department, promoting programs, events, and services to the campus community. This role focuses on outreach, event support, and digital engagement, helping to increase student participation and awareness of recreational opportunities. RecFit Ambassadors will assist with the tabling efforts of departmental events and campus events.

Essential Functions:

  • Be knowledgeable about RecFit programs and services to be able to answer questions from students, parents, and other individuals.

  • Participant in social media campaigns that inform members of programs and events and general gym information.

  • Staff in-person and virtual events such as: Late Night at the Rec, New Eagle Day, Preview Day, webinars, and other campus events.

  • Lead tours of the fitness centers to prospective members.

  • Maintain a professional and respectful environment with students, staff, and campus partners.

  • Be present for all scheduled shifts and staff training.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

  • Part-time.

  • 5 - 10 hours per week.

Salary Range:

  • $18.40 per hour.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Must be a sophomore, junior, or senior at the time of employment.

  • Will be required to work evenings and weekends.

  • Demonstrated organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Knowledge of social media platforms and content creation.
