Our client is seeking a Reconstruction Foreman / Assistant Project Manager to join their growing restoration and reconstruction team serving the San Marcos area. Their organization provides cleanup and reconstruction services for residential and commercial properties damaged by water, fire, mold, storms, and other disasters.

Position Summary
The Reconstruction Foreman / Assistant Project Manager plays a critical support role to the Reconstruction Project Manager by helping keep projects moving efficiently in the field.
This is a hands-on position that combines light carpentry work, job site coordination, customer interaction, material pickups, punch list completion, and daily support for active reconstruction projects.
The ideal candidate enjoys being in the field, solving problems, helping wherever needed, and learning the reconstruction business from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities

Support the Project Manager with daily job site needs and coordination

Pick up and deliver materials to active job sites

Complete punch list items, touch-ups, and light carpentry work including:

Baseboards
-
Trim work
-
Minor repairs
-
Final detail work
-
Conduct site visits and gather project information for the PM

Assist with scheduling and coordination of subcontractors or temporary labor crews

Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites

Communicate professionally with homeowners, customers, vendors, and subcontractors

Follow work orders and ensure tasks are completed accurately and efficiently

Document job progress through photos, notes, and communication with the PM
-
Help ensure projects stay on schedule and customers remain informed throughout the process

Assist with final walkthroughs and project closeout items

Learn reconstruction operations and grow into increased project responsibility over time
Qualifications
-
2+ years of hands-on construction experience required
-
Experience with residential reconstruction, remodeling, punch work, or light carpentry strongly preferred
-
Ability to complete basic finish work including trim and baseboards
-
Strong work ethic with willingness to learn and grow

Customer-service mindset with strong communication skills

Team player with a “figure it out” mentality

Honest, dependable, and solutions-oriented

Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required

Restoration industry experience is a plus but not required
