Job Description
Anticipated Salary:$18.75 to $22.00 per hour.This is anon-exemptposition.
Time Off Plan: 20 days of PTO. Additional Time Off: MLK Day, Presidents’ Day, Spring Break, Memorial Day, Week of July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving (Wed-Fri), Winter Break (Dec. 24-Jan. 1). Leave and holiday pay are based on the employee’s regularly scheduled workday.
The Records Clerk is responsible for tracking, verifying, and saving student records from prior schools to support enrollment, record keeping and state compliance. This role ensures all required documentation is received, accurate, and securely maintained.

Key Responsibilities:
Track outstanding requests and maintain accurate communication logs
Review records for completeness and upload into the Student Information System, as well as other systems used by multiple departments
Communicate with schools, families, and staff to resolve missing information
Helps with follow up and audit of records and compliances
Ensure compliance with Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
Compiling and sending records out to next school when a student withdraws
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma required
Strong attention to detail and organization
Effective communication and follow-up skills
Ability to manage confidential information
Experience with systems like PowerSchool, Google, and Excel
Preferred Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree
Experience working in a public-school environment
Work Environment
This position is remote with the following travel expectations:
In-person orientation
All-staff professional development in July (2-3 days)
Quarterly Operations team meetings
1-2 student outings per semester
Testing Support during peak Testing seasons
Supervisory Responsibilities

This is a full-time position averaging 30 hours per week. Ability to work independently is required. Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during workday, typically 8-2 or as defined by the school.
