RedSky is seeking a Records Manager to provide comprehensive records and information management support to the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) at its Headquarters in Fort Meade, Maryland. An ideal candidate serves as a trusted advisor to government personnel on records management requirements and best practices, supporting DISA's mission through effective information governance and lifecycle management of physical and electronic records. This role guarantees that the creation, maintenance, retention, retrieval, disposition, and preservation of agency records strict compliance with Department of Defense (DoD), National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), Federal Records Act, and DISA policies. This role ensures the timely and accurate processing of requests while actively balancing the public's right to information with the protection of national security, privacy interests, and proprietary information.

Key Responsibilities
Manage and continuously support DISA records management programs by enforcing strict compliance with federal laws, approved records retention schedules, and records disposition requirements.
Oversee all records lifecycle management activities from initial creation through final disposition, ensuring proper classification, filing, retention, secure storage, and retrieval of agency assets.
Develop, implement, and maintain the DISA Records Disposition Schedules while aggressively analyzing agency inventory findings to identify risks, compliance gaps, and improvement opportunities.
Actively support records digitization initiatives and modernization efforts, assisting with the effective management of electronic records systems and enterprise repositories.
Coordinate high-stakes records transfers directly to Federal Records Centers (FRCs) and the National Archives, while assisting internal organizational units with identifying and inventorying their records and information assets.
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience (equivalent experience or additional years of experience may be substituted for the education requirement).
Extensive, working knowledge of the Federal Records Act, NARA regulations, and strict DoD records management requirements.
Proven, hands-on experience developing and maintaining records schedules, comprehensive file plans, and exhaustive records inventories.
Demonstrated experience implementing enterprise-level records management solutions and utilizing electronic records management systems.
Required Skills
Thorough understanding of comprehensive records lifecycle management principles and modern federal information governance protocols.
Ability to methodically analyze complex records management challenges and develop practical, legally compliant solutions.
Excellent customer service and stakeholder engagement skills, backed by strong presentation, training, and interpersonal communication capabilities.
Capability to effectively manage multiple projects, navigate competing priorities, and work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced government environment.
