We are seeking Recovery Officers to join our busy Accounts Receivable Collections team, which is sometimes known as "Credit Control". This is an exciting opportunity to support local residents and businesses while contributing to vital council services in our thriving community.
The Role:
The role involves liaising with customers to support and enable them to pay invoices due to the council. We collect a variety of charges ranging from health and adult social care fees, commercial rents to harbour dues and parking permits to name a few.
What You Will Bring:
This is a varied, challenging and interesting role. You should be able to demonstrate
· Good written and verbal communication skills
· An ability to work with customers showing tact, empathy and diplomacy
· Be able to work well as part of a team
· Be proactive, flexible and adaptable and able to work alone.
This is a constantly changing and busy service and you will be expected to contribute to improving the service continually.
Applications are sought from applicants who can demonstrate an aptitude and understanding of the role.
You may have previous experience but this is not essential as training will be given to the successful candidates.
