The program integrates recovery support, academic instruction, and therapeutic services to promote long-term success.What You'll DoShare lived experience with substance use and/or co-occurring disorders to inspire and guide students (when applicable)Promote recovery as a lifestyle and serve as a positive role modelProvide individual and group support to studentsAssist students in developing and maintaining personalized recovery plans, including identifying triggers and setting goalsTeach skills such as stress management, emotional regulation, communication, and self-advocacySupport students in building healthy support systems and connecting with peer/self-help groupsEncourage development of self-care and coping strategiesCollaborate with clinical and school staff to support student successParticipate in team meetings and treatment planning discussionsRepresent the student perspective in team and planning meetingsMaintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with agency, DMH, CARF, and other regulatory standardsTransport students as needed using an agency or personal vehicleMinimal Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent requiredMust obtain Certified Peer Support (CPS) and Missouri Recovery Support Specialist (MRSS) credentials Must self-identify as being in recovery from a co-occurring and/or substance use disorder to effectively model and support clientsMust demonstrate stability in recovery, with a minimum of two (2) years in sustained recoveryMust have reliable transportationValid driver's license issued by state of residence (Missouri or Illinois); Missouri residents must hold a Class E license (or equivalent for state of residence)Proof of current auto insurance and acceptable driving record per agency policyAbout Community Counseling CenterWe've served our region since 1974, providing comprehensive behavioral health services across five counties.
