About the Role We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Recreation Activity Coordinator to join our team and create meaningful, engaging experiences for our residents. In this hands-on role, youll plan and lead a variety of activities that promote socialization, wellness, and joy-while building strong one-on-one connections along the way. This position is ideal for a self-starter who thrives working independently and enjoys bringing new ideas to life. From group events and outings to individualized engagement, your work will have a direct and lasting impact on the daily lives of our residents.

What Youll Do

  • Plan, promote, and facilitate a variety of recreational and social activities.
  • Encourage and support resident participation in programs and events.
  • Provide one-on-one engagement tailored to resident interests and needs.
  • Assist residents during mealtimes.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties as needed.
  • Safely transport residents to off-campus outings using a 15-passenger bus and other community vehicles (training provided).
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure a vibrant and inclusive environment.

What Were Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) preferred but not required.
  • Dementia training preferred or willingness to learn.
  • Previous experience in activities coordination or a related field.
  • High energy, creativity, and a passion for working with older adults.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexible availability, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Valid, clean drivers license.
