Under direction of Fitness Center Management, executes and ensures daily operations are performed as per established polices & practices. Ensures facilities remain clean and the staff promotes a friendly atmosphere while assisting patrons with questions and equipment needs. Provides superb customer service to military and civilian patrons
Responsibilities
+ Ensure fitness center rules, regulations and safety practices are properly enforced.
+ Ensure security and accountability of equipment and property.
+ Ensure cleanliness/serviceability of equipment.
+ Maintain accurate event/facility attendance records for programs and equipment.
+ Handle telephone inquiries, greet visitors, and provide information as needed.
+ Assist with special events within the department.
+ Performs other related duties as required.
+ Accepts reservations, collects fees and checks-out equipment.
+ May prepare individual exercise records including measuring and patrons exercise objectives.
+ Demonstrates proper use of equipment. May monitor exercise areas, sauna, steams rooms, and dressing areas to ensure compliance with facility rules.
Qualifications
+ High school diploma
+ Customer service experience, preferably in a fitness center type environment
+ Must be available to work any/all shifts as needed (Shifts vary early AM-late PM)
+ Must be willing to work on holidays
+ Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds
+ Work is primarily performed indoors, however may be outdoors to support various sports events and functions
