Position Summary

Recreational Services is looking to hire a professional, mature UNM-Gallup student(s) to work as a recreation assistant.

Candidate(s) should be comfortable working in fast-paced, professional environment and with a high ability to multitask.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist Sports Facility Event Coordinator with the preparation of sports venues for game, tournament, and other special event operations.
• Regular cleaning of equipment throughout the day, it also includes picking up of equipment, and laundry.
• Recreation Assistant will tend to the needs of the guests.
• Moderate physical activity. Requires occasional lifting, pushing, pulling of objects up to 50lbs.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Preferred Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Knowledge of sport rules, exercise equipment, and weight room equipment.
• Minimum qualifications knowledge of sports and weight room equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

• American Red Cross First Aid and CPR certified. If not it will be required within 30-days of employment.
• Work study qualified
