Description

Do you want to utilize your customer service and leadership skills to make a positive impact on citizens and guests visiting Parks and Recreation locations? If so, the City of Harrisonburgs Recreation Attendant Senior role in Facilities may be the right job for you!

The Recreation Attendant Senior - Facilities position is a year-round part-time position (no benefits) and a preferred hiring rate of $17.92 per hour; however, an exact salary will be dependent upon the selected candidates qualifications/experience and in compliance with City policy. Applicants who do not meet the qualifications for the senior level may be considered for another level within the department at an annual rate commensurate with applicant qualifications.

When you join our team as a Recreation Attendant Senior in Facilities, youll take the lead during unsupervised hours, ensuring that all customer interactions - whether in person or by phone - are professional and informative. Additionally, youll be responsible for overseeing the safety and well-being of program areas, patrons, and staff, promoting Parks & Recreation offerings, leading or assisting with a variety of programs and activities, and handling office equipment and software for routine data entry, transaction processing, daily receipt reconciliation, and financial record preparation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED and moderate (1-3 years) experience in a customer service position or a recreational environment
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Valid drivers license.
  • CPR/AED and First Aid Certifications required within the first three months of employment.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule to meet business requirements, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
