The Ideal Candidate:
We are searching for a Recreation Coordinator focusing on Summer Camps, Preschool Programs, and Youth Enrichment Programs to join our incredible team! You may also be assigned to contribute your talents toward our special events, youth and adult sports, and a variety of other popular City-wide programs and services.
As a Recreation Coordinator, you will provide services to members of the Napa community. Background and knowledge in recreation services, program or event planning, early childhood/youth programming, or facility management will help you succeed in this role. You will identify community needs and opportunities by gathering quality information through discussion, networking, research, and social media, insights that lead to increased engagement, outreach, and program enrollment, and that inform programmatic solutions to achieve long-term results (e.g., engagement, financial stability, social equity, and quality of living). Candidates with bilingual (Spanish) skills are highly desirable.
Our Department:
The Napa Parks and Recreation Services Department provides recreation programs for members of our community including preschool-aged children, youth, teens, adults, seniors, and individuals with special needs. Our programs include sports leagues and classes, aquatics, day camps, special events, and a diverse array of enrichment and health & wellness classes, reaching approximately 80,000 residents of the Napa community. We are responsible for the operation and maintenance of a wide array of parks and recreation areas, including numerous parks, miles of trails, an urban forest, and two community centers.
