Position Summary:
The City of Prescott Recreation Services Department is seeking a motivated, creative and community- focused Recreation Coordinator to plan, coordinate and oversee a variety of recreational programs, classes and/or events. This position plays a key role in delivering high-quality camps, programs, classes and/or events that enhance the quality of life in the community by delivering inclusive recreational opportunities for youth, adults, seniors and families. The ideal candidate will be organized and passionate about public recreation and possess the ability to manage multiple programs, classes and/or events while engaging residents, staff and community partners to enhance the quality of life for everyone we serve.

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in Parks & Recreation Management, Recreation Administration, Event Management, or a related field preferred; prior experience coordinating programs, camps, classes, or events for youth, teens, adults and seniors. Three (3) years of experience working in a recreation, leisure service or closely related field overseeing, programming or coordinating recreational activities, special events, sports or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the essential functions of this position. Passion for community programming, recreation services, and public engagement.
Licensing, Certification, and Other Requirements:
CPR, First Aid and AED certified (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire). Must possess a valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
