Job Description Summary

The City of Goodyear is seeking a highly motivated individual to work as a Recreation Instructor - Teen Room at the Goodyear Recreation Center.

This position will oversee the use of the teen center and provide a fun experience for our youth audience (focused on 8-18 years), supervise teen events and connect with participants.

This is a part-time position and the ideal candidate will possess good customer service and communication skills, be positive and friendly and willing to assist in a variety of Goodyear recreation Operational areas.

Essential Functions

• Must be able to instruct with sound principles
• Ability to speak and communicate in large and small groups with poise and enthusiam
• Supervise participants in programs and design programming as required
• Respond to questions and aid faculty users
• Maintain cleanliness of the facility and equipment. Event and program set-up and take down
• Event and program set-up and take down
• Enforce all rules on a consistent basis
• Handle disputes in a professional manner
• Maintain a safe work environment, report all programs with facility or equipment to a supervisor

Requirements

• Minimum one-year experience in customer service preferred
• Strong communication skills

Sick leave hours will be provided based upon hours worked.
