Recreation Manager

Ft. Myers Academy is a MODERATE RISK residential/detention facility which offers comprehensive care and treatment, specializing in evidence-based intensive mental health services.  The academy is dedicated to providing high-quality care in a serene and supportive environment, designed to promote healing and recovery for individuals facing mental health challenges.  With a focus on evidence-based practices, Fort Myers Academy ensures that each client receives personalized, effective treatment tailored to their specific needs.

 Pay: Ranging from $23 to $26 based upon experience.

 What you will do: As a Recreation Manager, you will be primarily responsible for providing daily recreational and leisure time activities that are physically challenging, educational and constructive.

To be considered you should: Possess a BA/BS degree in Recreation, Physical Education, Recreation Therapist or related field.  Two years' experience working as a Recreational Therapist or, five years combination of education experience and training may substitute the degree and experience. Be empathetic, patient, and treat others with respect.  Have a strong desire to work with troubled teens.  Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, and TB test.

Schedule:  Typical schedule: 5 days on - 2 days off.  Days of the week may vary.  Evening and weekend hours as necessary.
