Recreation Manager- Full Time

As a member of our hospitality team, the primary responsibility of a Recreation Manager is to provide effective leadership and coordination of the Recreation Attendants and Pool Attendants, ensuring the overall operation of the recreation department runs smoothly. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations, fostering a positive work environment, and maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction. A crucial part of this role is creating new, unique, and interesting recreational activities that enhance the guests stay and create lasting memories. Actively seek feedback from guests, and proactively identify and address potential problems before they escalate, ensuring guest concerns are resolved by embodying the highest standards of hospitality.

• Supervise and lead the daily Recreation shift operations, demonstrating strong leadership skills to ensure a high level of service and guest satisfaction.
• Ensure strict compliance with all hotel policies, standards, and procedures to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for guests and associates.
• Oversee and execute a diverse range of recreational activities throughout the year, catering to guests of all ages and preferences to enhance their stay experience.
• Maintain the cleanliness, functionality, and safety of all equipment and facilities, conducting regular checks and coordinating maintenance promptly and efficiently.
• Monitor and manage the pool area diligently, ensuring proper chemical levels and overall cleanliness to provide a safe and enjoyable swimming experience for guests.
• Handle various administrative duties effectively, including scheduling, payroll management, generating summary reports, inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining comprehensive associate discipline records.
• Demonstrate exceptional multitasking skills to efficiently handle various responsibilities and prioritize tasks, managing time effectively to meet operational demands.
• Train and develop the recreation team, emphasizing outstanding hospitality, exceptional customer service, and strict adherence to safety procedures.
• Actively participate in the investigation of associate and guest accidents, implementing preventive measures to ensure a safe and secure environment for all.
• Collaborate closely with the loss prevention team, upholding security policies, and implementing measures to minimize potential risks.
• Proactively engage with guests to gather feedback on services, promptly addressing and resolving any concerns or issues to uphold guest satisfaction.
• Continuously observe and evaluate service behaviors of associates, providing constructive coaching and feedback to drive continuous improvement.
• Review comment cards and guest satisfaction results with the team, identifying opportunities for improvement and working together to implement effective corrective action plans.
• Support the hiring process, conduct effective onboarding, and ensure cross-training of associates to enhance operational efficiency and flexibility.
• Establish clear performance expectations for each position and conduct regular performance appraisals, offering constructive feedback and support for individual growth and development.
• Foster open and collaborative relationships with associates, encouraging feedback and addressing any concerns promptly and professionally to maintain a positive work environment.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of departmental budgets, operating statements, and payroll progress reports, contributing to effective financial management.
• Manage departmental expenses diligently to align with the budget, aiming to achieve or exceed financial goals while maintaining service excellence.
