Recreation Program Coordinator / Summer Camp

The St. Francis Public School District has vacancy opening(s) for Recreation Program Coordinator / Summer Camp. The Recreation Program Coordinator / Summer Camp oversees the implementation of daily camp activities and provides direct leadership to the recreation staff. This position is responsible for planning, adapting and coordinating the Summer Camp schedule to ensure a high-quality recreational experience. The Recreation Program Coordinator / Summer Camp ensures that all programs are well-organized, engaging and aligned with the camp''s mission.

Key responsibiliities for this position are as follows:

• Lead and supervise the daily activities of campers and staff, serving as a group leader.
• Support and oversee Recreation Staff in their daily responsibilities.
• Assist with planning, organizing and modifying the summer camp activity schedule.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to camp staff and coordinate staff meetings or training sessions as needed.
• Monitor the quality and safety of all recreational activities.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for staff regarding scheduling, logistics and behavior management.
• Collaborate with the Recreation Director to resolve any programmatic or camper-related issues.
• Maintain documentation of incidents, attendance and daily reports.

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Previous supervisory experience with coaching or leading in a recreational, educational or camp setting.
• Strong leadership, conflict resolution and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead by example and foster a team-oriented environment.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before camp begins).
• Ability to multi-task in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
