The Recreation Team Member helps maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming pool environment for guests. In this role, you will assist visitors throughout the pool area, monitor activities to promote safety, and support the overall appearance and organization of the pool deck and surrounding amenities.
:Primary duties of this position include:
Welcome guests to the pool area and provide friendly, attentive service throughout their visit
Monitor pool deck activity and remind guests of pool rules to promote a safe environment
Empty trash containers and replace liners as needed to keep the area clean and presentable
Assist guests with questions about pool amenities, resort services, and general property information
Verify that guests in the pool area are wearing the appropriate property-issued wristbands
Maintain cleanliness across the pool deck and surrounding areas by picking up debris and organizing furniture
Collect used pool towels and place them in designated laundry bins
Restock fresh towels and coordinate with housekeeping to ensure adequate towel supply throughout the day
Review and explain safety procedures with guests before they use water slides or other water features
Remove unattended towels from lounge chairs to ensure seating availability for guests
At the end of the day, organize pool furniture by returning chairs, tables, and loungers to their designated locations
Conduct routine checks of the pool deck to ensure equipment, seating, and amenities are in place and in good condition
Report any maintenance concerns or safety issues to the appropriate department
Complete additional assignments as directed by management
Desired qualifications for this role include:
Availability to work flexible schedules based on resort operations, including weekends and holidays
Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid certification (training provided and paid by the company)
Enjoyment of working outdoors in a fast-paced hospitality environment
Dependable attendance and strong attention to detail
A positive attitude and commitment to providing outstanding service to guests and fellow team members
Ability to work cooperatively with others as part of a team
Strong communication skills when interacting with guests, coworkers, and supervisors
