Position Summary
Under the direction of the Art Museum Manager & Curator, performs various tasks as necessary to provide services for the St. George Art Museum.

Oversees the work of other part-time employees and volunteers during assigned shifts or tasks
Assists in staff training and assignments, recruiting, and evaluation of staff
Provide customer service in person and over the phone; answering questions and/or referring customers to appropriate staff members
Coordinates and manages scheduling for front desk staff to ensure optimal coverage and seamless visitor experience
Updates and maintains museum website and social media presence.
Writes, edits, and distributes newsletter
Handles payments to gift shop artists
Responds to public inquiries providing accurate information regarding various city arts and recreation programs and services
Assists Education team with tours, classes, and programming as assigned
Assists in Exhibit preparation, including printing and hanging labels, preparing exhibit space, leveling artwork, and more as directed by curator/manager
Documents and acknowledges all donations to the museum; manages museum membership and museum contacts database (PastPerfect Museum Software)
May be delegated tasks normally performed by FT employees
Works programs and special events, taking charge in part or whole of assigned programs, events, or facilities
Aids in the promotion and advertising of programs and special events
Registers participants for programs, classes, and activities
General office and clerical duties
Copies and prepares various brochures, flyers, schedules, rosters, etc. for distribution
Organizes, cleans, prepares and maintains museum facilities and other work areas
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing other related duties as needed
Follows all city policies and procedures
Typical Physical/Mental Demands/Working Conditions
Conditions and temperatures may vary depending on the assignment. Requires the use of vision and/or hearing to identify and evaluate emergencies. Must be able to respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies. Requires moderately heavy physical activity, exerting 25-50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10-25 pounds of force frequently. Mental demands of intermittent exposure to stress as a result of human behavior.
Note: Must be available to work weekends, evenings, holidays, and other schedules to help prepare for museum offerings. This is a part-time position with variable hours averaging less than 28 hours per week over a period of twelve months.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Minimum of one year of office administration experience preferred.
Minimum one year of social media marketing experience preferred.
Customer service experience preferred.
Licenses and/or Certifications:
Must possess a valid driver;s license. A valid Utah Driver License must be obtained within 60 days of hire and be maintained throughout employment.
CPR, First Aid, AED certification required. Must be obtained within 60 days of hire and maintained throughout employment.
Maintain certifications as necessary to have the proper depth of knowledge and experience to complete assigned tasks and responsibilities.

Note: Golf course privileges are based on availability. Employees can book a tee-time within 24 hours or the same day, but may be turned away if there are no available tee-times. If you happen to be golfing with at least 2 paying customers; tee times can be set with more advance notice, but are still based on availability. Red Hills Golf Course will not be available to schedule tee times in advance --- walk on play based on availability only.
