A well-established skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Staten Island is seeking a compassionate, energetic, and organized Recreation Director to join our team. This individual will play a key role in enhancing residents' quality of life through engaging activities and recreational programming.
Responsibilities:
Welcome new residents and identify their recreational interests
Assist with the development and implementation of monthly activity calendars
Help coordinate and lead recreational programs tailored to residents' needs and preferences
Support religious services and special events within the facility
Assist with organizing monthly celebrations, holiday events, and themed activities
Work alongside volunteers and help facilitate their involvement in resident programming
Qualifications:
Prior experience as a Recreation Assistant or Recreation Director in a healthcare or long-term care setting required
Strong organizational and leadership skills
Proficiency with computers and basic office software
Positive, outgoing, and enthusiastic personality
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities
