Job Summary
Create and edit targeted messages for various stakeholders including prospective students, parents, high school counselors, alumni, faculty, staff, and academic departments. Recruit prospective students to attend Grambling State University to meet university and departmental goals for admissions, recruitment, and enrollment. To identify prospective students, collect data, review and recruit, and create correspondences to enroll academically qualified traditional and non-traditional students in AdmissionPros. Contact and connect with students, parents or alumni.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Utilize the Banner system. Process and load applications for admissions applications, test scores and other in ADMPROS/BANNER supporting credentials in determining admittance to the university. ARGOS Reporting when need for reporting
- Write and edit a variety of targeted messages for prospective students, current students, faculty, staff, administrators, and the community. These communications include but are not limited to news releases, web content, features, blog posts, recruitment material, reports, presentations, ad copy, and other special projects
- Create compelling content for websites, social media platforms, and marketing campaigns designed to capture student interest and influence enrollment while adhering to University brand standards and website style guidelines
- Communicate with prospective students and parents. Collaborate with alumni and various departments across campus through appointment, telephone, and email to ensure consistent communication
- Assist with the development of enrollment marketing publications and communications including letters, brochures, website postings, electronic mail and other mediums
- Manage social media accounts, including planning and executing social media campaigns and monitoring engagement
- Use analytics to measure the success of marketing and communication efforts and make data-driven decisions
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Must possess a Bachelor's degree.
- Experience in higher education, admissions and student recruitment.
- The successful candidate must demonstrate outstanding oral and written communication skills.
- Strong editing skills with the ability to write for a variety of audiences with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with all campus stakeholders.
