Position Summary
Turner Mining Group is seeking a driven and resourceful Recruiter to support full-cycle recruiting efforts for field and corporate positions. This role is critical in attracting top talent within the mining, construction, and heavy equipment industries. The Recruiter will partner closely with operations leaders to identify workforce needs and deliver high-quality candidates in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the full-cycle recruiting process for hourly and salaried positions, including field operations roles
Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and job requirements
Develop creative sourcing strategies to attract candidates in competitive labor markets
Source candidates through job boards, social media, referrals, and industry networks
Screen resumes and conduct phone interviews to assess candidate qualifications
Coordinate interviews and facilitate communication between candidates and hiring teams
Maintain a strong pipeline of skilled trades and equipment operator candidates
Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process
Track recruiting metrics such as time-to-fill and cost-per-hire
Travel occasionally to job sites, career fairs, or hiring events as needed
Maintain compliance with employment laws and company hiring practices
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
2+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in construction, mining, or industrial sectors
Experience recruiting for skilled trades or heavy equipment roles preferred
Strong sourcing and networking skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to manage multiple open requisitions in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and recruiting platforms
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in high-volume or field-based recruiting
Familiarity with mining or construction workforce challenges
Ability to travel to remote job sites
HR or recruiting certifications (SHRM, PHR, etc.)
