    Job Description

    SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday (9am-5pm)

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Bachelor’s degree preferred. A minimum of three (3) years demonstrated experience working in a Human Resource office may be substituted for preferred bachelor’s degree. Exceptional computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and database operations required. Must have ability to relate well with people and possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to multitask and be able to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and a driving record that does not preclude the employee from being covered by Agency liability insurance. Must have the ability to effectively work with Agency employees and outside contacts.

    Essential functions of this job include, but are not limited to:

    • Reviews applications/resumes for potential interviews and/or hires in accordance with Agency objectives.
    • Logs, sorts, and files applications for current and future employment needs.
    • Pre-screens candidates via scheduled phone interviews using standard department questions.
    • Schedules and conducts first employment interviews weekly as required by current number of open billets to ensure a steady flow of candidates.
    • Reviews social network sites (e.g., Facebook) for inappropriate media/posts/pictures of prospective employees.
    • Conducts preliminary on-line background checks.
    • Accurately conducts and thoroughly documents references.
    • Schedules and conductshiring paperwork.
