Overview
Seeking a motivated, organized, and results-driven Recruiter/Dispatcher to join our growing team. This position is responsible for recruiting, screening, interviewing, onboarding, and dispatching qualified CDL drivers. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role requires flexibility, including occasional after-hours and weekend availability to support urgent dispatch needs and ensure exceptional service to both drivers and clients
.Key Responsibilities Recruiting & Onboarding
- Source, screen, interview, and onboard qualified CDL drivers.
- Conduct phone screenings and interviews with potential candidates.
- Post jobs on Indeed, Zipceruiter, Craigslist and social medial platforms
- Manage the full recruitment cycle from sourcing through onboarding, including employment contracts, orientation, and employee evaluations.
- Verify employment history, CDL licenses, certifications, driving records, and other required documentation.
- Coordinate onboarding paperwork, drug screens, and background checks.
- Maintain regular communication with applicants throughout the hiring process.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records in recruiting systems and databases.
Dispatch & Client Support
- Communicate dispatch instructions, job details, and schedule changes to drivers.
- Monitor driver attendance, performance, and job completion.
- Respond promptly to call-offs, schedule changes, and urgent client requests.
- Provide after-hours and weekend support for emergency dispatch needs as required.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with drivers and clients to ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention.
General Responsibilities
- Support staffing needs and fill open positions in a timely manner.
- Stay informed about trends and best practices in transportation
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in recruiting, dispatching, or transportation preferred.
- Knowledge of CDL driver qualifications and DOT compliance requirements is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, outlook, and applicant tracking systems.
- Ability to handle urgent situations professionally and efficiently.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, maintain professionalism and built strong relationships customers/drivers
