Talis Group’s client is a leading engineering and manufacturing company in Louisville, KY.  They are seeking an experienced Recruiter (Sourcing Specialist) to join their team on a long-term temporary basis (approximately 6 months with potential to be hired.)  This is a high-volume, fast-paced recruiting environment supporting critical hiring needs across engineering, project management, and technical functions.

Strong performance may lead to a direct hire opportunity.

This role is heavily focused on candidate sourcing and initial screening and will support multiple hiring managers.  This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy recruiting environment and can quickly identify and engage top talent.     

This is a full-time position, with a generous hourly pay range.     

Hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm, onsite, no travel.    

Highlighted Duties:

  • Source qualified candidates for a variety of roles: Project Engineers, Technical Leads, Project Managers, Logistic Professionals, and Technical/Engineering Sales roles.
  • Conduct initial phone screens to evaluate candidate qualifications, experience, and potential fit.
  • Present qualified candidates to hiring managers for next steps.
  • Partner with multiple hiring managers to understand role requirements and hiring priorities.
  • Maintain a strong, active pipeline of candidates across multiple requisitions.
  • Utilize Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and other sourcing tools to identify talent.
  • Track candidate activity and maintain accurate recruiting records. 

Highlighted Requirements:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in engineering, manufacturing, or technical environments.
  • Proven ability to manage a high-volume requisition load (15-20 roles simultaneously)
  • Strong sourcing skills and ability to identify passive candidates.
  • Experience recruiting for engineering and project-based roles strongly preferred.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
