Job Title: Recruiter (Resume Screening Support)

Location: Hampton, VA

Employment Type: Full-Time

GovFirst is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Recruiter to support our hiring team by reviewing resumes, identifying qualified candidates, and assisting with recruiting operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and screen resumes based on job requirements and qualifications.

  • Identify qualified candidates and prepare candidate shortlists for hiring managers.

  • Maintain and update candidate tracking systems and recruitment records.

  • Assist with sourcing candidates through job boards such as Indeed, ZipRecruiter, LinkedIn, and other recruiting platforms.

  • Coordinate with hiring managers regarding candidate status and hiring needs.

  • Schedule interviews and communicate with candidates throughout the recruitment process.

  • Ensure candidate information is accurate, organized, and up to date.

  • Support recruiting and administrative functions as assigned.

  • Maintain confidentiality of candidate and company information.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.



Requirements

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in recruiting, human resources, staffing, or administrative support preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to review efficiently and evaluate resumes against job requirements.

  • Familiarity with job boards such as Indeed, ZipRecruiter, and LinkedIn.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) or CRM platforms.

  • Familiarity with high-volume recruiting or staffing environments.

  • Experience supporting recruitment for government, administrative, technical, or skilled labor positions.

Required Education & Credentials:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Required Work Authorization:

  • U.S. Citizenship.
