Job description

Overview:
Abacus Staffing is seeking a motivated and experienced Staffing Specialist to join our team and support high-volume recruitment for light industrial roles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sourcing, screening, and placing candidates in warehouse, manufacturing, and production settings. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for light industrial positions (e.g., assemblers, production workers, forklift drivers, machine operators).
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and job requirements.
  • Proactively source candidates using job boards, social media, internal databases, and community outreach.
  • Conduct phone screens, in-person interviews, and onboarding activities for high-volume roles.
  • Maintain candidate pipelines and ensure timely placement to meet client demands.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and prepare regular recruiting reports.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in high-volume light industrial staffing or recruiting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills—both written and verbal.
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficient with recruiting tools such as ATS, job boards, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of local labor market and workforce trends is a plus.
