What is Soccer Shots?
Soccer Shots® is the children's soccer experience, using an acclaimed recreational curriculum and great coaches. Through the beautiful game, we aim to develop character, motor skills, and teamwork. Our team believes children are invaluable and our goal is simple: leave a lasting, positive impact on every child we serve. We coach at over 300 locations around the Twin cities, and our goal is to reach 20,000 children in the year 2026.

We are looking for a motivated and passionate individual who is highly organized, caring, patient, positive and committed to helping people reach their potential. This person is responsible for following established strategies to strengthen and expand Soccer Shots' brand while demonstrating excellent customer service through both professional and timely communication. 
  

The following is a list (not exhaustive) of the Recruiting and Coaching Coordinator responsibilities:
 
·        Lead screening, interview and on-boarding process for new coach hires
·        Network with candidate resources (colleges, online networks, community events) 
·        Train new coaches
·        Mentor and supervise a team of coaches 
·        Conduct coach evaluations
·        Conduct coach 1:1’s
·        Provide coaches with needed equipment, participant prizes and marketing materials
·        Keep coaches accountable to program and brand standards
·        Actively take part in the coaching department tasks related to the successful rollout of each soccer season
·        Collaborate with Soccer Shots directors and fellow coordinators regarding season planning and improvement of program quality
·        Coach as needed 

Work Schedule:
The expected working hours are Monday through Friday and one Saturday a month. Working times will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. three days a week; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. two days a week. When working Saturday hours, hours may be flexed to maintain a 40 hour work week.


Work Location  
The Soccer Shots office is located in White Bear Lake Minnesota. Remote work is to be expected also, especially when coaching and supporting the coaching staff. 
    
Classification   
This is a full-time and salaried position. Minimum of 40 hours a week is required, with additional hours sometimes needed to meet deadlines and goals.
 
Key Performance Measures
  • Prompt, reliable, and professional communication. Responds to coaches, customers (parents, program partners), supervisor, and other support staff within 24 hours.
  • Meets weekly, seasonal, and annual timelines and deadlines. Develops and follows systems to stay organized, keep good records, and be efficient with time.
  • Meets seasonal performance goals. Goes above and beyond expectations to promote the Soccer Shots brand.
  • Adheres to all company policies and represents Soccer Shots with professionalism and integrity.

  • Computer/application skills (Microsoft office suite: Excel, Word, PPT.) 
  • Able to manage, engage and interact with up to ten 2-8 year-olds, and has experience doing so.
Preferred Qualifications: 
·        Bachelor's degree
·        Previous experience with the sport of soccer
 
In addition to the above, a successful candidate must pass a Child Abuse History Clearance and Background Check.
