Job Title: Recruiting Consultant
Location: Hybrid out of Downtown Des Moines, IA
Pay: $41.24/hr
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM CST; in office Tuesday and Wednesday
Start Date: 06/22/2026
 
Job Overview:
As a Recruiting Consultant, you will design and implement recruitment strategies while managing end-to-end recruitment processes. This includes sourcing and screening top talent, developing and managing talent pipelines, and advising business partners throughout the hiring process—from candidate selection through offer acceptance—for Technology and Legal roles.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage highly complex business partner relationships and recruit for specialized and leadership-level positions
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to identify industry trends and support strategic recruiting initiatives
  • Deliver a positive candidate experience from prescreen through offer and onboarding while building a diverse pipeline of specialized talent
  • Develop and lead recruitment strategies aligned with workforce planning needs in partnership with HR professionals and senior leadership
  • Monitor market conditions and industry trends to provide strategic recruiting consultation and talent market insights
  • Demonstrate advanced use of AI-driven recruiting tools and technologies
  • Maximize usage of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS); Workday experience is highly preferred
  • Execute recruiting policies, processes, programs, and consulting services effectively
  • Partner with senior management to plan strategic recruiting initiatives that enhance organizational performance and business goals
 
Qualifications:
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business, or a related field preferred
 
Experience:
  • 8+ years of progressively responsible human resources and corporate recruiting experience
 
Skills and Knowledge:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of candidate sourcing strategies and professional recruiting practices
  • Strong understanding of human resources functions including selection, training and development, performance management, employee relations, and regulatory compliance
  • Knowledge of recruiting within financial, technical, and insurance industries preferred
  • Excellent negotiation, counseling, influencing, and communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess recruiting needs and interpret information effectively
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities across diverse issues
  • Maintains knowledge of innovative recruitment tools, technologies, and industry best practices
  • Demonstrated experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS); Workday experience preferred

 
Upon acceptance of offer, candidates will be required to submit to a 10-year criminal background check, urinalysis drug screen, and soft credit screen.
