Overview:

History of the Company: Superior Ambulance Service started in 1959 with one ambulance and today is the largest independent, locally owned, and operated emergency medical services provider in the Midwest. Superior employs more than 4,000 licensed EMT, Paramedics and Nurses, operating a fleet of more than 800 ambulances throughout Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, and Wisconsin. Superior also provides Critical Care, helicopter, and fixed wing emergency medical transportation.

The Recruiting Coordinator's primary location is out of our Warren, Michigan station. You will be responsible for the development of partnerships and sourcing for licensed team members in both Michigan and Ohio. The recruiting coordinator supports the recruitment and talent acquisition efforts to ensure the smooth and efficient coordination of various HR and recruiting activities so that the entire HR team can effectively source, screen, and hire qualified candidates. In this role, you will represent the company at career fairs and other events to increase awareness of our exciting career opportunities. Reporting to the Recruiting Outreach Lead, you will be cross trained in other areas within the Recruiting and HR department. 

As a Recruiting Coordinator, you will screen and process resumes to find qualified applicants for our open positions. You will keep contact with applicants, including providing position details and general information, as well as setting up qualified applicants with interviews. You will also search for potential candidates using our sourcing programs to help build a pool of candidates. Teaming with the Recruiters, you will find creative avenues to increase candidate flow.  

Responsibilities:

The primary duties and responsibilities of the Recruiting Coordinator consist of, but are not limited to the following:

  • Travel up to 50% 
  • Responsible for finding, organizing, and taking part in career fairs, presentations and other events as needed, creating and retaining partnerships  
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations, policies and best practices related to recruitment, hiring and employment 
  • Supporting the full life cycle recruiting process: sourcing, recruiting, screening, interviewing, assessment, selection, perform background checks and extend offers of employment as needed 
  • Post positions and source candidates using job posting websites, job boards, social media, professional networking, and cold calling as needed 
  • Collaborate with the HR and Management teams to develop effective recruitment strategies 
  • Prepare information and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends  
  • Collaborate with Recruiters out of the state's Superior operates 
  • Reports to the Recruiting Outreach Lead 
Qualifications:
  • 0-2 Years Recruiting Experience 
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with the recruitment team, in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills 
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to change 
  • Ability to multi-task 
  • Able to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately 
  • Proficient with MS Office and ability to adapt to new systems 
  • Reports to Warren Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm when not offsite at events, presentations or building relationships with partners 

 

Preferred

 

  • Bachelor’s / Associates degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience. 
  • Previous job or career fair experience

Salary

  • $52,000-$55,000 per year
