The Recruitment Specialist and Transfer Scholars Coordinator supports Olivet Nazarene Universitys community college partnerships and transfer enrollment initiatives. This position serves as a primary resource for prospective and current transfer students by assisting with transfer recruitment, transfer pathway development, advising, and administration of the Transfer Scholars Program.

Working collaboratively with community college partners, admissions staff, academic departments, advising, and Enrollment Management, this position helps create a seamless transfer experience that promotes student success, persistence, and enrollment growth. The successful candidate will also serve as a cross-trained member of the Enrollment Management team, supporting Graduate and Continuing Studies online recruitment initiatives as institutional needs require.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

General Duties

  • Communicate the mission, vision, and values of Olivet Nazarene University to prospective students, community college partners, and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies that increase transfer enrollment, with a primary emphasis on growing the Transfer Scholars Program.
  • Represent ONU at community colleges, transfer fairs, information sessions, college visits, partner events, and recruitment activities.
  • Serve as the primary coordinator for the Transfer Scholars Program by assisting with recruitment, onboarding, student communications, engagement initiatives, and ongoing student support.
  • Develop, maintain, and update transfer guides, articulation agreements, transfer pathways, and partnership documentation to ensure accurate transfer information.
  • Assist prospective transfer students in understanding transfer credit evaluations, degree completion pathways, admissions requirements, and enrollment processes.
  • Provide advising support for Transfer Scholars students and prospective transfer students regarding course planning, academic progression, and university resources.
  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with community college faculty, staff, advisors, and administrators to strengthen existing partnerships and identify opportunities for new collaborations.
  • Assist in identifying and developing new community college partnerships and innovative transfer student lead-generation strategies.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment, partnership, and enrollment data within university systems and ensure timely follow-up with prospective and current students.
  • Participate in cross-functional recruitment initiatives by supporting Graduate and Continuing Studies online program recruitment, including inquiry management, recruitment events, outreach, and enrollment activities as assigned.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by adapting to changing enrollment priorities while providing exceptional service to transfer, undergraduate, and online student populations.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by the Director of Community College and Academic Partnerships.

  • Participate in cross-training and professional development opportunities to support Enrollment Management initiatives.

Additional Information

EDUCATION

  • Bachelors degree required.
  • Experience in higher education admissions, recruitment, academic advising, enrollment management, or community college partnerships preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is primarily based at the Heritage Office with regular travel to community colleges, partner institutions, transfer fairs, and recruitment events. Some evening and occasional weekend responsibilities are required. Travel is expected to support recruitment activities, partnership development, student advising, and Transfer Scholars Program initiatives. Mileage and approved travel expenses are reimbursed according to university policy.

This is a 12-month, full-time staff position.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION

The annual salary for this position is $43,000. Additional considerations will be made for relevant experience and educational background.
