University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) seeks adjunct faculty to teach at San Diego, CA, in the School of Cybersecurity & Information Technology. Specifically, we are seeking faculty for the following courses:
Introduction to Linux (CMIT 291): A study of the Linux operating system. The goal is to configure and manage processes, user interfaces, device files, print facilities, file systems, task automation, the boot-up/shutdown sequence, disk storage, network connectivity, system security, and users and groups.
Red Hat Linux System Administration I(CMIT 388): Development of the key foundational skills needed by an RHCSA-certified Red Hat Enterprise Linux system administrator. Focus is on the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to become a Linux systems expert or Linux system administrator. Discussion covers advanced command line concepts and enterprise-level tools intended for cybersecurity professionals who need to perform essential Linux administration tasks including installation, configuring networking connectivity, managing physical storage, automation/programmability, and performing security administration tasks.
