Get to Know Your Team: UT Health East Texas is comprised of 10 hospitals, more than 90 clinics, nearly 7,500 employees and over 1,000 licensed inpatient beds. We provide healthcare services through our hospitals, clinics, Level 1 trauma facility, air emergency fleet and EMS service. ResponsibilitiesMakes and schedules appointment for procedures and surgeries for patients in an efficient andtimely manner. Verifies and pre-certifies insurance coverage for surgical procedures. Coordinatesday surgeries within main surgery department. Maintain productivity logs for department director. QualificationsJob Requirements:High school diploma or GED.Computer experience (Excel/Word).Preferred Job Requirements:Two to Three years of work experience in a medical office.Knowledge of medical terminology and surgical scheduling.
